Hearing Aid Trials
At Whisper Audiology Hearing Clinic in Stoney Creek, we don’t just choose hearing devices based on your test results. Rather, the evaluation process includes flex-evaluation hearing aids. This ensures a personalized solution that is backed by data.
The flex-evaluation allows you to take home and try hearing aids for a period of two weeks. The hearing aids data log your listening situations to ensure that at the follow-up appointment, we can make an educated decision backed with data to determine the best hearing aid that fit your needs.

Hearing Aid Types
At Whisper Audiology, we work with a variety of manufactures so we are not limited in our selection. There are also many styles of hearing aids that are available such as BTEs, RICs and CICs to name a few. Many factors are taken into consideration when deciding which hearing aid is best for you, such as the type of hearing loss, the severity of hearing loss, your lifestyle and whether your experience tinnitus. Based on these factors and more, the audiologist will work with you to decide which hearing aids best fits your lifestyle and needs.
We keep a supply of batteries for you to purchase in our clinic. Make sure to check the batteries in your hearing devices often to ensure there is no wax or debris.

Custom Ear Plugs
Custom earplugs offer excellent protection from potential hearing loss because they are made from molds of your ears. We offer a variety of custom earplugs designed specifically for different activities such as:
- Musicians Plugs: Custom earplugs designed for musicians, work by reducing sounds evenly, resulting in music and speech that is quieter, yet natural. Musician earplugs come with interchangeable attenuators that offer different levels of sound reduction for a variety of listening conditions.
- Swimmers Plugs: When moisture enters the ear canals, it can cause itchiness, pain and infection. This may lead to a condition called swimmer’s ear, which can cause permanent hearing loss if untreated.
- Hearing Protection: High decibel levels in the workplace are a leading cause of hearing loss. Even though the use of hearing protection in industrial settings has been mandated, standard earplugs don’t always offer adequate protection from noisy equipment and machinery. Custom industrial strength earplugs provide hearing protection for the most extreme high decibel situations.
